I took my first yoga class over 10 years ago. After being a runner for over 20 years, I found that yoga offered a great balance and helped me stretch my sore muscles. My first yoga class was very challenging, yet something drew me to want to keep trying and learn more. I loved getting an amazing workout combined with the sense of calm I felt after my practice. I loved the challenge of trying new poses even if I could not achieve them right away. I loved gaining increased flexibility. Yoga allows one to slow down and go inward. It is such a wonderful way to disconnect from our busy lives. Yoga has not only taught me balance on my mat, but the ability to carry it out into the world as well.

I am grateful to have been a part of the great 200RYT Teacher Training program at Inner Power Yoga, the same studio at which I took my very first class all those years ago. I am so happy to be able to share the incredible joy that yoga can bring. I also have a keen understanding that no two yogis are alike. I want you to practice in a way that works for your body. When you come to my class you will experience time for yourself to nurture your mind and body, and to have fun. I find that yoga is a perfect place to reconnect with our true self, let go of the stresses and strains, to move, and to breathe! My hope for you is to take the sense of calm and joy you find on your mat out into the rest of your life.
